What areas does your company service?

Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service services homes in the Durham, Wake, and Orange County areas. Some of the counties that we currently service include Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Rougemont, and Holly Springs.

What time can I expect you to clean my home?

Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service services client homes Monday - Saturday between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm. Saturdays are reserved for Deep Cleanings Only and will be charged at a higher rate as it will be over time for our employees.  If calling to schedule a cleaning where you are redeeming a gift certificate or coupon, please be advised that you may have to schedule your cleaning several weeks in advance.

Due to our flexible and ever changing schedule, it is difficult to commit to exact arrival times. With that being said, we cannot guarantee the exact time that we will arrive to clean your home. All clients are asked to choose whether they would prefer an AM (Before 12) or PM (After 12) appointment. Even if you normally have an afternoon cleaning, there may be times that we need to clean your home in the AM instead. If you need a more approximate arrival time, please call (919) 323-6882 after 9:00 am on the day of your appointment.

Does your company provide the supplies to clean my home?

Yes, our company provides all supplies for the cleaning of your home. However, for sanitary reasons, we do ask the clients to provide their own toilet bowl brushes. 

Often times unscrupulous cleaning companies will have you provide the equipment and supplies so that they can claim that you are the employer, and if a worker is harmed while working in your home, a claim can be made against your homeowner insurance.

With our company, their are no worries! We provide all supplies and save you the headache...

Are your supplies safe for pets and children?

Yes, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service only utilizes products which are Green Sealed or Environmentally Safe. Our employees are properly trained to use our cleaning supplies only. However if a client requests that we use a different product, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service will not be held responsible for any damage that is done by/with those products. We do not use bleach in client homes. If the client requests that we use this product, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service again is not liable for any damage.


5.

Do I have to get an in home estimate?

We beleive that an in home estimate is a very important part of your cleaning process, however, we do not require you to have one. 

During your in home estimate, we will tour your home and get detailed information about all of your needs. This way we may assess the different surfaces to be cleaned, take notes, and give you a more exact estimate (based on our hourly rate) on the time that it will take to clean your home. This way, we can also get a feel for the job as a whole and you can get a feel for the company that will be in your home. These estimates typically take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

If you are unable to have an in home estimate completed, we will be more than happy to come and clean at our hourly rate ($32.50 per person/per hour) with a 2 hour minimum (Deep Cleanings, Move In/Out Cleanings, etc).

For your convienience, you will receive a telephone call prior to the end of your estimated time. Should your cleaners need additional time to complete the job, you will be notified during this call.

Items which may affect your rate include excessive clutter, dirt, grime, soap scum, and additional items requested (Inside appliance cleaning, cleaning of pet areas, etc).

How do I pay for house cleaning services?

Payment is due in full at the time of service. We accept Cash, Check, and Credit Cards for your convenience. A valid credit card/debit card must be on file in order to schedule services.

How many people will come to clean my home?

Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service works in teams of 3 and 4 for deep cleanings and teams of 2 or 3 for maintenance cleanings.


8.

What if something is damaged during the cleaning of my home?

For your protection, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service does carry general liability insurance in the case of an accident. Please keep in mind that accidents do happen. In the case of an accident, the cleaners are instructed to leave the client a note and the client will be contacted by our office on the next business day. A report will be written and the item will be replaced, the client will be compensated, or a claim will be filed.


9.

Does someone have to be home on the day of my cleaning?

Absolutely not. Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service does not require anyone to be home on the day of the cleaning. Actually most of our customers are not home when their homes are being cleaned. However, your team will need to be able to access your home when they arrive or a lockout fee (1/2 of cleaning fee) will be incurred. Please view our Policies page for our home entry options.


10.

Will I receive the same cleaners on every cleaning?

 WE DO NOT ROTATE CLEANERS and you will always have at least one familar face in your home.


11.

Is there anything that I should do before the cleaners arrive?

It is advantageous to have your home picked up as much as possible allowing us to be able to get to all areas so that we can optimize your cleaning. If we have to spend time picking items up and putting them in there place prior to cleaning, you may be billed for the extra time needed to do so.


12.

Are you a pet friendly company?

Absolutely! At Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service we love our client's pets. If you have pets that are afraid of vacuums or are excitable, we may suggest that they be placed in areas where we are not working.
